Do you ever overbet the pot?
If so, why?
If not, what runs through your head when facing one......

sometimes done with a monster to look like a bluff, or as a large value bet if your opp is a complete calling station. |

Overbetting the river also serves as anti - inducing bluff/pot control maneuver against right opponents (but don't do it more than twice in a session).

I've been having some success with this lately. Against 1 or maybe 2 others and you see someone trying to buy a card it is a really good strategy to get them to either fold or overbet themselves. |

I really like overbetting with monsters when I think someone will think it's a bluff and likely has a hand they like.

Overbet with a monster when you think they'll call, and overbet as a bluff when you think it'll make them fold a hand that they'd call a smaller bet with. The overbet bluff works against mediocre players who are kind of calling stations but they'll go away if you put enough pressure on them. The overbet with a monster works really well against complete fish.

There are soooo many calling stations out there that I think you should replace your 'value bets' with your 'overbets'. Maybe I'm just saying to increase your value bets. You'll be suprised what ppl call with, so desperate to see another card or have a shot at the pot on the river.
