    Hi, Just recently started playing NL, so I don't really know what I'm

    *** RIVER *** : [ :Jh::Qs: ] [:Ks:]
    dipset666: Bet ($1)

    Should I have called? I had him on top pair weak kicker after the flop. When he bet the river I immediately put him on JT. It was hard to lay down a set even at this low buyin.

    Your comments would be appreciated.

    I would say "Call". At these low stakes I think this player could have anything.
    If it was at higher stakes I'd still probably call because it could be a bluff or maybe the player thought that 2 pair was good.

    I agree with the fold. He suddenly wakes up on the river on such a scary board = he probably has that straight.

    If you call in these spots consistently then you are bleeding chips. 3 to a flush + 4 straight cards + player who check/called whole way leading river with a psb = you are beat most of the time.

    Slow down on the turn once he calls your flop bet. If he has the flush but not the nuts he will play till the end. Wait for the board to pair and it's a stack. If you check the turn and he has the nuts he will get ansy and bet big at the river to get payed, He has you beat here 85% of the time. Even at these stakes, they all can read a flush board. Hell they all play any two suited. Fold and be happy and wait for the next one.
