    Default $11 rebuy strategy Question

    Hi-
I recently played in an $11 rebuy tourny on stars and came to this scenario: I am about 87th out of 104. The next money level is at 99th place for $40 more bucks. Two double ups would put me in the top 2o or so, but along ways off of the chip leaders. My M is 6.5 and I pick up 4,4 under the gun. I have pushed AI a few times and have so far showed down AK and a good read with AT on a QT3 board. My question is should I push this, or should I wait until the next money level. It is only $40 but I am going to have to make some serious head way to reach the FT, and waiting one or two hands would be all that it takes.

Besides this scenario at what time do you say-alright lets try to get some more cash and forget about the FT?

    Thanks for any comments.

Unless it is a satelite I never think about more cash - my goal is always the FT.

44 utg here is either a push or a fold with an M of 6 (10xBB or more) depending on your table and how soon blinds go up again.

If you’re able to play in an $11 rebuy, $40 should be immaterial to your br.

That's not really true and it really doesn't matter how much it is relative to your bankroll. You should make the optimum decision in this situation that will make the most money. It doesn't matter if your BR is £1m or £200.

kstarm - how many players are at the table? 9 right? folding is probably best here. i think if there are 6 or less than pushing is good. or maybe 7. it also depends how long the blind levels, the other stacks, how likely you are to be called by hands like 55-99, etc. etc.

i agree that at a full table i am folding this, but at a table with 7 or less i push.

and always play for the win, not the next money level.
eeevees are not monies yet...they are like baby monies.

How much does position matter here. If I was 3rd to act with folds in front of me (essentially a 7 person table now) does it change the move or are the cards still too weak?

$40 isnt a big deal, but you reply doesn't really get at my question. Would you push or fold this and why?
