Yesterday's FulltiltPoker Sit-n-Go tourney $100 buy in
Hello This is my 2nd post now.
Yesterday I entered into a $100 Tournament because Andy Bloch and allen Cunningham was in the tournament and I had been up nearly $900 dollars for the night playing 20/40 NL.
At First when the tournament started I was playing tight paying attention to my position and what cards I would play in Early/Middle/Late position like I always do and I won a few hundred chips here and there and after being given $1500 to start with after 3 hours of playing i got my stack to $9100 when Allen Cunningham is balanced at our table and everyone makes a fuss about it. Allen was actually 3rd in chips with $21988 and I knew i did not want to go up against anyone with that many chips esp. the 2005 WSOP player of the year.
Finally after waiting a lifetime stealing blinds to hold my ground, I pick up Pocket Q's and i get Allen and 1 other caller, The Blinds are at 400/800 and I raise over 2000 so I knew this hand could mean my end in this tournament, there were only 99 out of the 900 people in the tournament and payout was at 80th place.
Now Allen was the only one to call my raise and so I put him on having a big hand but then of course he could just think i was an amatear and would play anything like I said he had just sat down so He wouldnt have known how i played.
Now the Flop comes 10,4,8 but there all Suited in Hearts.
I dont have one heart with me and I bet 1500 thinking if i did he would either put me all in or just fold his hand. He just calls and i did not expect it the turn was a K but not a Heart. Now that was the worst card I could have had but i knew if i Checked he might try and bluff me off this pot and which so much in there i could not afford it. I bet 3000 and he pushes me all in and I'm thinking he cought the king not the flush but either wow i was almost drawing completely dead and i folded my hand. He told me after i asked what he had and he had the ace of hearts 10 9 of Hearts and he flopped the nuts and told me i was already pot committed because at the end of the hand I was left with only 2200 and the blinds had raised to 500/1000 and i went out of the tournament in 83rd place for another beat of pocket Q's vs AK is there anyway at all to avoid this should I have folded sooner when I had even the suited flop?
Thanks
