PF raise standard OOP. Anyone play this differently?

What hand range do you put oppo on? do you make a bet on the river?

I'll play exactly like you did!

On river I bet he'll check and I'll check being.
A very likely hand would be KQ or maybe AA ...

    If he bets, call.

At this level (same as i play), his play screams ive got a jack or a king. He'd raise and not check with more. Honestly have you not noticed that at the $5.50 there is nearly always a calling station at your table? This maybe the guy.

If not what has he got? Maybe KJ, or K5,K4,K9,J9. Q10. pp that made trips (unlikely as he surely would have reraised the turn). Unless he has one of these you're good so lets see what your average player calls early in the BB with at this level.

Any Ace, any two face cards, any pair, (sometimes K9+,JT), suited connectors. AA, KK and JJ would have reraised preflop so get rid of those.

As you have no reads you have to put him on this range because of the level you are playing. I am aware that in a good tournament or a higher buyin most of this range is probably folded.

You beat all the Aces. you beat KQ, KT, JQ, and so on.

In short if he gives you any sort of odds you have to call.

    cheers...

his flat calling just seemed odd.
I did think that if he had trips, or 2 pair he prob woulda reraised.

shall I post result now? or is it irrelevant?

    im interested.

I play the same level as you on stars ATM. Don't know what the chances of us running into each other are but stranger things have happened. We're both in the same time zone! May be quite a good idea to swap some HH and share some experiences at this level? WDYT?

Yeah that would be good. PM me about going about this. cheers.

anyway heres the rest of the hand...
Dont understand at all why he never reraised once!!

He didnt even reraise the river? This is a great read now. You can be more confident about calling/reraising his bets after a hand like this, because he has shown that with a good hand he likes to be bet into.

Some of the cards turned over at this level make my eyes water. Check out this thread for the worst played good hand ever! http://www.flopturnriver.com/phpBB2/...oker-45576.htm

    lol that threads class...

next hand I played against him he put me out with A-A, I had A-K. doh!!

I think as played I would check behind on the river after 2 calls. I would probably have checked behind on the turn and seen whether he lead the river, but maybe I'm too weak tight
Must get more aggressive - Tonight we dine in $25NL! rah rah rah! etc

I think a bet on the turn is standard. no?

maybe the river I should have checked as his flat calling was just weird and I could have saved myself some chips.

when he was just flat calling I put him on prob a K with a mediocre kicker. maybe 2 pair. by this time though I had already bet the flop and turn. maybe a check on the river would have been correct.

I think a weakness in my game maybe acting to quickly and not stopping to think about the whole hand.
