Default Q9s ITM, super shorty in BB calls, check my line ($16)

Big stack is somewhat loose/passive, overall stats 37/12. Am I being too much of a weenie here by checking down after opp calls my flop bet and board pairs on the turn? Last thing I want is to lose to the big stack and for short stack to win with 7x. Thoughts?

well played, imo betting the turn or river is a mistake

first of all its a scary preflop call by SB..he can just fold and wait to get 2nd. even though his stats are really loose, id have to assume theres a chance its a legit hand. the flop check/call is even scarier (again, theres no point in him playing this hand unless he has a monster). you might be ahead on the river but theres little or no hands that check/call the river that you beat

    I'd just push the flop.
