    Default push preflop here?

Cao amigos! SNG's are my second game for now ( I am still a beginner). However, I play them to win. Here is one hand which occured today.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t600 (4 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

    Hero (t1670)
    UTG (t3795)
    Button (t4750)
    SB (t4785)

Preflop: Hero is BB with 9, T.
2 folds, SB completes, Hero checks.

    Flop: (t1050) J, T, 6 (2 players)

    Final Pot: t1050

    SB puts me all in.
I was short stacked here and I saw this guy bluffing on the flop so I thought this would be time to call all in. That is probably OK. However, maybe i should push preflop. What do you think?

There's very little reason to push preflop. You have a marginal hand and you have no fold equity (he's getting 2-1 odds to call, meaning it's correct for him to call with any 2). If he put you all in preflop, you pretty much have to call with any two, but since he didn't you can peel and see if you stand a chance of winning the pot (or if you'd be better off pushing any two next hand with again zero fold equity).

Either way, you're definitely calling on that flop, and you're probably pushing any flop if he checks to you (but he's probably not checking many).

Because the blinds are so big. You'd be getting better than 2-1 odds as well. Unless he has a pair over both of your hole cards, you're at least even money on this call (usually better than even money). Plus the chips are that important to you. Folding leaves you with 1k behind (and 300 in the next hand). You have to double up just to get back to the horrible short stack you've got now! The chances of winning two or three hands in a row 4 handed are much worse than the chances of winning with any two cards against the range he'd raise with.

If I was SB I would have put you all-in for sure with any two cards. Say I pushed with 80% of hands (anything better than 54s), calling with your T9o would be +2.0% EV.

It was an error for SB to complete rather than pushing. As he let you see a free flop and you hit top pair, easy call.

wow that's pretty insane to be at the 600 blind level and still have 4 players left.
Check preflop, call the push post flop. I don't think there's any other play.
Now I will retire to my cave, put on my blinders and headphones, and not consider other possibilities.
