First hand, no reads, horrible position, $114 turbo ... I think I'm calling behind here and playing for a set. Unless you have a read on UTG from a previous tourney, I don't like raising this because chips are so valuable and I have no idea whatsoever what he could have.

Johnny, I kind of asked this in another thread, but I'll ask again here ... Is it really possible to have that much of an edge in these $114s? I already think that $60s are very tight, you'll get at least a couple players at each table who know how to play push/fold poker. In a turbo, a player's edge comes from knowing preflop poker very well. With $114s, you're playing many of the same players over and over again, and a lot of these players understand preflop poker ... I just don't see how you can have enough of an edge in these for them to be worth your time.

    Looking forward to your opinions.

    play for set.

The raise is fine, but then I think you have to play it just like this.

    I see enough mistakes to make 5% Roi a realistic goal imo. And 5% roi @ 114s > 8% @ 60s
