Default 1 hand: The dreadfull KK ;-)

    Guys,

    blinds 50/100

    Hero posts 50
    ernst5 posts 100

    bonaX: folds
    alphan: calls 100
    stcak: folds
    CoNL: calls 100
    Hero: raises 350 to 400
    ernst5: folds
    alphan: folds
    CoNL: calls 300

    flop: 4c 6s As

    Hero: bets 600
    CoNL: calls 600

    turn: 7d

    Hero: checks
CoNL: bets 1050 and is all-in
    Hero: ???

    What would you do here?
I've put him on an Ace after his calls on the flop. Though, thinking of it now, he was also maybe on a draw and after having missed it on the turn he was maybe bluffing ...
If he was on a Ace it would have been a small Ace and with my bet on the flop I was representing either a big pair or AK/AQ/AJ so I think a shove on the flop would be better, no?

    Thanks!

Raise a little more preflop, 500 to go with 2 limpers in front.

On the flop, check here, don't bet. You are either way ahead if opp doesn't have an A (in which case opp is drawing to 9 or less outs probably 5 or less) or way behind if he does (in which case you are drawing to 2 outs). Since you don't know which it is, don't put any more money in the pot. Plus at a low buyin, it is very likely that opp called you with Ax.

Search for a thread called "KK with an ace" in this forum, it had over 100 replies and was a GREAT discussion on this point - EDIT: here it is http://www.flopturnriver.com/phpBB2/...ic.php?t=21766

The trouble in not betting the flop is that he would most likely do it himself and in this case I'll have to fold ...

BTW, I cannot found the thread "KK with an ace" was it a long time ago?

My trouble is checking here is that it makes it pretty clear u dont have an A, and many players will bet with any 2 here.
However You can bet a bit less (probably 400 or so) to get the same info, since if he calls you are done with the hand anyhow
