I think this is a good flop to check, but a read is helpful. If you're gonna bet it, pot it and see how much he likes his hand. Without a read, I fold the river, you're only beating a bluff here.

I dunno, it's late I was thinking pot control with the scary board, but you're oop and if villain bets you have no idea where you stand. Upon further reflection, I think I like a pot-sized lead best.

folding the river seems quite bad. There are lots of hands that can be bluffed here.

river is an easy call getting those odds. If anything he 2 outered you more than anything else or had an overpair to the board IMO.
I get the feeling he called you down with a worse hand and got lucky, doubt he has the nuts.
