I always seem to have a problem when I hold hands like QQ or KK and flop comes A. By default I c-bet these. I know that some of you guys will check/fold from

    a bet.
On the river would you have bet?
I could not think that OPP had an A as he's being very passive (maybe slow playing though, however the check on the river, says: I don't have an ace).

However, he could easily have KT or KQ/KJ/K9/K8.

Do you check/fold on the turn, or you try to take a stab?

The problem I had in betting let's say 120 or 150 is that I would be burning chips if he has an ace. The 90 bet should be enough (I think) in the beginning of $6.5 SNG to scare people off, mainly with two AA, am I wrong?
On the turn, I agree it's less likely that he had an Ace, but even so, if he does I'll burn more chips ...

Here I have the same issue as before, putting more chips on the flop (like for example 200) would not have scared him of, am I wrong?

I forgot the end of the sentence: "two over cards on the flop"

if i had an Ace id bet. dont wanna give free cards here, small PP could still call a bet plus A,T.

Hand 1: 2/3 pot or check the flop (I like betting a little bit better because of KJ/QJ/KQ), check turn, check river. You could've made a thin value bet if it wasn't a K.

Hand 2: Just a bit more on the flop. Checking once in a while can't hurt either. As played, c/f turn. Maybe call a small bet.

edit: There's no reason to represent the Ace in hand 1. Why bluff with the best hand? Also betting the turn 'to see where you stand' is horrible.

yeah your right, if he was to call again im probably beat and its drawless board so very few hands we beat will call me.

I think you have to make your flop bets slightly larger to avoid the tough turn decisions like these.

Your problem is that because you did not bet a massive amount, you think villain might be calling with a range you beat.

Think about what you are trying to accomplish with your flop bets. IMHO you should be taking one of 2 lines -

Bet to try and take pot down on the flop.
ie - bet a bit more than you did here, looking for a fold, and if you get called you're check/folding, unless it's to a weak bet (1/2 pot or less)

    Bet for value.
ie - bet about 1/2 pot on the flop, as you did, so that draws get bad odds but still may call, and worse made hands may call. Bet turn 1/2 pot ish if flop was called, probably fold if raised w/o read. If turn is called river depends a lot on how the board looks, can be tricky.

The first option is much less likely to provide tricky decisions than the 2nd IMO, but against someone who you know will call with mid pair or a draw the 2nd option is often one i will use.

First hand i 120-150 on flop, as played bet turn, check behind on river if called.
2nd hand i bet 200 on flop if i'm betting, may just check and see what happens with that flop though. As played definately check turn.
The poker gods love me really, they are just testing my faith !
