Setting up your table.

    Default Setting up your table.

I am curious as to what people look for when they first sit down to evaluate their new table?

    My current process:
    1. Identify calling stations, Tags, Nits, Maniacs.
    2. See if calling stations and maniacs will fold to a cbet if they miss.
    3. If not be prepared to only bet calling stations when I hit, and call down maniacs if I hit light.
    4. Check 2nd barrel with calling stations and maniacs.
    5. Raise Tags on rag boards to see if they will fold.
    6. See if anyone will play reraised pots with junk.
    7. Try to identify Tags raise calling range and reraising range.
    8. Try to identify max money lines when I hit big.
    9. Try to identify strong positional players.
    10. Make sure that there aren't any good Lags with position on me(not really a problem at $100).

After I see what I can figure out by watching or by using my HUD I just try to exploit. I am currently 4-5 tabling $100 6 max. I start with 4 then move to 5 when I get a good feel on the 4. All suggestions are appreciated.

    Thanks

I don't have that much information to hand, besides from the limited HH through PT. I am not sure what Poker HUD is and how to use it?

Basically I try to follow pretty standard procedure:
(Table selection is extremely important in SHNL)

    1) Table is full of max buy in/deep stacks
    - This increases my expected return
    - Also allows room for me to play aggressive P/F/T/R
    2) Known poor opponents: CS/MNC/LP
    - Starting at an action table is always best
    3) Locating action tables with high average pot
    - Its relatively easy to manipulate a tighter table also into playing more loosley, but diving right into an action table is my preferred

I do like your list also, nice thoughts.

    What is this Poker Hud?

The HUD is the Heads Up Display. It overlays your PT stats onto your table while you are playing.

I do a good job on table/seat selection. I would like to see if other players have a similar approach to attacking their chosen tables.
