Default SnG Power Tools says what!?

You're on the button with 10,675 chips, SB has 1,485 and BB has 1,340.
SnG power tools computes that the wider their caller range; the wider your push range. If their calling range is TT+,AQs+,AKo then you should only be pushing with KK+. However, if their calling range is 22+,A2s+,A3o+,KTs+,KJo+,QJs then you can push with 88+,AQ+ ... what's going on!?

You didn't say what size the blinds are.

If i set them at 200/400 A25 and have 32o, using your data, i get:

    Call range: TT +AQs + AK0 - EV Diff = + 1.0% - Push hands: 22+,A2+,K2+,Q2+,J2+,T2+,92+,82+,72+,62+,52+,42+,32 (100%)

    Call range: 22+A2s+A3o+KT... - EV Diff = + 0.3% - Push hands: 22+,A2+,K6o+,K2s+,Q8o+,Q2s+,J8o+,J3s+,T7o+,T4s+,97 o+,95s+,86o+,84s+,76o,74s+,64s+,53s+ (55%)

The +EV is lower than i would have expected.

Changing my stack size to 3000/4000 gives me a much increased +EV.

Obviously pushing with a huge stack into 2 shorties is far less +EV. Could someone explain the reason for this please.

    Oops. Blinds were at 100/200.

This is crazy, my software must be faulty. I've restarted the software and keyed in the same data and I'm getting the same results.

I increased the blinds from 100/200 to 200/400 and the push range went from 1% to 100%!

This is user error of some kind. My guess would be that your min edge is set to some unrealistically high value. With the tight calling ranges you have an edge of 0.4% pushing 32 offsuit with the situation you gave and 100/200 blinds.

If you put garbage in, don't be surprised or blame the software when you get garbage out.

    Blinds 100/200, 32o = Call range = TT+,AQs+,AKo = Push 100%
    Call range = 22+,A2s+,A3o+,KTs = Push 10%

    Maybe try re-installing m8.

    Didn't see the above post.

I'm pretty sure re-installing won't help him. I am pretty sure he's just got his min edge jacked up to something where only a few premium hands are crossing the threshhold for that scenario.

Try again with your min edge set at 0%. I think you will get the same answers that everyone else is getting.

The min edge (whatever min edge is) was at 0.3 - which I didn't set. I reduced it to 0 and the results seem more realistic, although not identical to Dice Mans.

Just to add, my min edge is set at 0.5 which (i think) was a recommended setting when i bought it.

    From the man himself:

The "min edge" setting is basically a way of boosting your fold equity to account for your skill advantage.

I have found that 0.5% is a good default value for a lot of bubble or near bubble situations for a winning player.

Once ITM, or with blinds in the higher levels, 0% is probably a better setting, as there's not enough gameplay left for you to be passing up small edges, waiting for bigger ones.
