Default I can bet this right?

Holdem No Limit - $60 BB

    MP+2 ($2,170)
    CO ($4,420)
    Button ($400)
    SB ($1,450) [Hero]
    BB ($2,240)
    UTG ($1,630)
    UTG+1 ($4,070)
    MP+1 ($1,620)

Hero is SB with 9, K
    Preflop: (8 players, $90)
UTG calls 60, UTG+1 calls 60, 3 folds, Button calls 60, Hero calls 30, BB checks

    Flop: 3, 9, 4 (5 players, $300)
    Hero bets 240,, OK?

    meh bet less.

check is fine since there are a good few opp's

I know there are a lot of opponents but the only realistic holdings than have me beat are A9, 33, 44. There is the flush draw but I'm making them pay for it. You don't like taking a stab?

i dont hate it. this is diff from tai's A9.

    problem is;

more limpers=more hands that cause you problems
drawy board=more chips you have to put in
we have a weak hand=most turn and river cards hurt
almost always have to check/call or fold turn.

Fair enough. The main reason I thought this was a good spot to bet was because even the most deranged serial limper probably folds 92/93 pf. I wasn't in danger of getting nailed by two pair and there really weren't very many hands out there that have me beat.

I think I would prefer to play a small pot in this situation
Must get more aggressive - Tonight we dine in $25NL! rah rah rah! etc

How can you play a small pot and chase out the flush draws?

Well with so many opps you may already be beat in which case trying to chase out draws would be incorrect would it not?

Like I said, it's highly unlikely that I'm beat on this board.

Well that's fair enough. However is it possible to be sure of denying a flush draw the odds? If you bet big and get a caller someone may still have the odds to chase, they may certainly think they have the implied odds in that situation. But I'm just thinking on my feet, anyone else got an opinion?

In an unraised pot with a hand like this I don't really focus on giving flush draws incorrect odds because they will call anyway. If someone calls your 240 flop bet you'll be oop and praying for a showdown which is not fun. I think I like to check here more often than not and see what everyone else does.
