Default AT, big stack, bubble, SS push and a call in front ($16)

SB went nuts at me in the chat box for doing this. Should I have just flat called to try to knock UTG out?

Poker Stars No Limit Holdem Tournament
    Blinds: t400/t800 (Ante: t50)
    4 players
    Converter

    Stack sizes:
    UTG: t1005
    Button: t2120
    SB: t3725
    Hero: t6650

    Pre-flop: (4 players) Hero is BB with T A
UTG raises all-in t955, Button folds, SB calls t555, Hero raises all-in t6600

Well UTG has 1BB so this is obviously any two whoch means you are way ahead of his 'range' here. I think the push to isolate is just fine.

    Hi,
I'm not surprised he went nuts. Isn't it normal to just check it down and eliminate a player except when someone actually hits something. I had a similar experience last night when the short stack went AI and we checked it down until the turn where I hit 2 pair and then raised AI to get my opponent off his hand. I then apologised for so doing afterwards with no problems.

    Nah screw him.

i guess the whole check down helps when stack are even enough that your not close to ITM.

here tho tai has a massive stack so doesnt really want it to end so pushing can keep SS alive but gives tai great odds to win anyway.

    i dont mind it.

Interesting, I guess large chip stacks rule which makes it OK. I bet the button was pissed though as with 2 players against the short stack, he probably would have been elevayed into the money.

    I like it.

SB has to whine then fold. You get his chips if you win anyway AND if you lose they still play tight as due to being on the bubble and you can keep stealing their blinds as ur big stack bully. By the time they are in the money they have no chips left.

    I agree. Fuck him!

If SB liked his hand so much, he should have pushed himself to shut you out.

In a tourney with a steep price structure and a read of the SB as a sane person then I would have just called and checked it down.

But you did the right thing. If you win this hand 1st or 2nd place is almost guaranteed.
