Do funny raises get more action?

When I play MTTs I like to have a little fun so I never raise in increments of 3x or 4x the bb and my wife thinks this might get me too much action. For instance w/ blinds of 25/50 I raise to 222 and 50/100 I raise to 333 and blinds of 100/200 I raise to 666 and 200/400 I raise to 1111...you get the idea.

I know this is a very general question because of the details that usually go into MTTs, but what do you think?

A better question (unless you're making them specifically with that as the goal) is why do you want to make funny raises? You should generally have a reason for betting whatever amount you're betting. I can give reasons that these might be a good bet to make, and reasons they wouldn't, but it will do you much more good to consider the potential impact and pluses/minuses yourself. What do you think?

For some reason I tend to make silly bets if I'm the Laggy big stack at the table. I guess it might make them think twice about playing back at me.
