Tournament Play Question
Early in tourney, stacks are deep:
Flop comes, unpaired board with 2 spades, no straight draws.
You have Ax of Spades on the button.
A very modest pot sits in the middle.
Play is 3-handed, first-to-act pushes all-in, easily > 10x the pot; guy behind calls. You're covered by both.
You're priced right. In cash game, call = +EV. But you're only about 35% to win, depending on villain cards. 65% to bust out of tourney. Is it always right to play pot odds in a tournament?
As is prob. obvious in this "hypothetical" situation, I called. Results motivated this post.
