    Default Satellite question

$24+2 18 man sat on FT with top 5 getting $75 tourney chips and sixth getting $57. I am seventh of eight remaining. There are two big stacks and the other six of us are between about 1900-2500. Blinds are 120/240. UTG, with a stack of about 2300 opens for a minraise. He was at the first table with me and was playing fairly tight to that point. I don't have any info as to what a minraise from him means. It folds to me two off the button, with a stack of slightly more than 2K, and I'm holding the AKo. I figured he was holding JJ+/AQ/AK. Since this is a satellite type tourney where the top five get the same prize, and I am still very much in contention for one of those spots, should I fold this? Also, in a normal tourney is this an easy push b/c of the chance of JJ/QQ/AQ being in villain's range?

Sorry no HH, how do you get them from FT after the game is over?
There's three types of people in the world...those who can count, and those who can't.

how often are people going out? Mostly, you should fold. Your AK doesn't have a whole ton of value unless you think there is a good chance you can't win with your currect stack size (Which isn't the case here). If you shove you're hoping he folds, although if you get called AK is obv better than average holding. But you don't really want to race against AQ.

If he's smart, he should know that and fold any hand when you shove, but you don't know how smart he is...

In a FO yes, easy shove.

    easy push in a FO.

here, i could go either way. folding is probly the smart thing to do, but i could argue for the push. the push has some FE, and you probly arent in that bad of shape against his range. it all boils down to whether or not he is a (semi) thinking player and knows he shouldnt jeopardize his stack
eeevees are not monies yet...they are like baby monies.

What does he have, with his minimal raise?
It looks as a huge pair to me. KK, or more probably AA.
    He didn't limp,
because he was afraid that everybody could call. With too many players, he has nice chances to be crippled or even busted.
    He didn't raise more,
because he was afraid that everybody could fold.
    He put a minimal raise,
    hoping for reraise...

    An easy fold on satellite.
Even on a normal tournament, I think that folding is good (although it's unclear whether I'm good enough to play like that )
I'd try to push a fold button . If I haven't enough strength to do that, I'd push call button. But raising is very possibly a suicide...
