The last few hands someone raised to 200 and it folded around, so I figured this would be a good situation to pick up a few more chips.

I've seen briardam limp with AK in this position, and he was playing really tight, so I chose not to raise preflop. I thought if he (or anyone else for that matter) had the ace they would have bet it, I haven't seen too many slow playing yet.

Looking at this now I think this is a stupid play. After a preflop raise it looks like Villian at least has a pair, I was just trying to use my stack to push him around (which is a leak?)

So what do you think? Did I play good for the most part- or did this fish just get lucky?

Congratulations on the win! Overall comments:
    - You are too loose with your preflop hand selection when blinds are small. Don't be limping with crap like JT, 97o etc. even when in position.
    - Don't call raises with crap hands like T9, J7 sooooted etc. "He's bluffing/stealing" syndrome is a fast way to lose a lot of chips.
    - Slowplaying is overrated. The best way to win a big pot with the nuts is to bet to build one in the first place!

Any hand I don't comment on is fine. Happy to respond to any queries!

    1. 99 - I limp this early with TT and below (unless it's folded to me in the CO or button in which case I'd raise). The flop then plays differently because you're playing for set or (carefully!) overpair value only. As played, the flop lead is OK - although I would not have done this if an A flopped.

    2. AJo - fold preflop, even from the button. AJ is too easily dominated by a preflop raiser.

    3. 97o - fold this crap preflop, even with all those limpers.

    4. JTo - fold preflop. This early, only play SUITED connectors from the CO or button for a limp when there are at least 2 limpers in front.

    5. J7s - ugly. Fold preflop. With blinds this low, it's just not worth it, even getting 3.5 to 1. As played, FOR GOD'S SAKE lead that flop! With the flush and straight draws out there, why give a free card? On the turn, RAISE HIM UP! If he folds you likely won't get any more chips. BET MORE ON THE RIVER! There is 195 in the pot, make it at least 120. You gave up a lot of value here - basically you denied yourself the implied odds to justify the 30 chip preflop call.

    6. AKo - make it 3x BB to go, no need to raise 4x BB.

    [6s 6d] MP1 (M=11.57; f+f+F) - yes, good fold from early position.

    8. QJo - just fold preflop. You're OOP for the rest of the hand if called. If you want to raise (not that I'm saying you should), make it 400 to go because you really want to take this one down preflop.

    9. KQs - not really sure about this one preflop, limping isn't terrible with your read. That said, I think I prefer to raise to 400 here in position. I think I'd rather be HU on this one postflop rather than 4-way. As played, flop bet is fine.

    12. AKo - I would c-bet the flop for 400. That flop is unlikely to have hit opp. I'm pretty sure opp is betting into your weakness.

    13. T9o - fold preflop. Sure, he could be stealing but your hand has poor postflop value, why risk 300 chips?

    15. AKs - shove over from the BB rather than standard raising. Opp has 9x BB, they won't call without a monster. Plus you only hit an A or K on the flop 32% of the time, make sure take it down now or if opp wants to call you with a pocket pair, let yourself see all 5 cards to get maximum value from your hand.

    16. KTo - fold from UTG, there are 5 active players to fold before you take the blinds and you're potentially OOP for the rest of the hand if called.

    17. K7o - fold preflop. Again, SB could be stealing but you have little fold equity and A-anything and more Ks beat you than you dominate. I prefer to fold this and shove the next hand if folded to me in the SB. You got lucky here to win the 40/60.

    19. 85s - I just fold preflop, 100 chips is precious at this stage.

    20. KJs - fine, you have to call getting 2.6 to 1 on your chips.

    22. K2o - with <10x BB it is push or fold and I would fold this.

    23. 55 - I would just shove with the SB sitting out. Also, keep all your open raises a consistent size regardless of your hand or position.

    24. 32s - I don't like this steal with your stack size, even with the BB sitting out with two active players still to act and the short stack in the SB.

    25. KTo - unless your read is the table is playing very tight, I fold this from UTG. Raising it from one spot further along would be fine though.

    26. 83o - raise from the SB if you want to play. In fact, you could just shove all-in - BB isn't calling you wide here since you're threatening him with elimination and one player is sitting out.

    27. 33 - fold preflop. Small pocket pairs lose a lot of their value with blinds this big because you don't have implied odds to play for a set.

    30. T9o - raise if you want to play. You have the big stack, use it to beat your opponents with!

    31. 52o - raise or fold. I would fold this to show the BB you're not always raising his BB. As played, bet the turn like you mean it, at least 300 to go.

    33. AQo - it worked for you, but I would have folded the turn after opp calls my 2/3 pot flop bet. Very good chance you were beat here.

    35. KK - I would raise him up from the BB, make it 1200 to go. As played, you have to call the push.

    Great. Thanks for the advice.
