did i bet to much in this spot?
i've noticed that i barely ever slow play a hand. should i slow play sometimes?
i don't slow play because i'm scared of being outdrawn and then having to make a tough decision and either paying off a flush drawer or folding to someone with a weaker hand. should i slowplay sometimes? even with possible flushes and straight draws on the board?

i manage to extract the most out of my hands because i'm scared of losing a monster stack. is this ok?

I'd definetly raise here as well but probably to $5. $8 is too high, you scared them away.

    What?

The pot is $9. Raising to $8 is offering 2.1:1 odds, which is fine, if it was K89 suited I would raise to $10. Betting $5 would be offering 5:1 odds. Even if it was a rainbow flop you should raise to more than $5.

They folded, so the bet was too high.

I'm use to looking at hands that are converted showing the pot size.. guess I didn't add something up right.

I'd rather take down a small pot than lose a big one...people fold and you don't make as much with your monsters as you would hope...it happens. Other times they reraise/push with the flush draw here and you scoop/lose big ... it's all good.
I play it the same way with the second caller of the flop donk-lead, and don't cry over the folds.

Sounds results-oriented to me. I like the big raise. I think it gets called enough times (and the consequences are good enough) to pay off in the long run

A lot of the times my dry humor goes unnoticed! I was being sarcastic, mainly trying to make up for my mis-reading the HH and the pot size.

My bankroll is the amount of money I would spend or lose before I got a job. It is calculated by adding my net worth to whatever I can borrow.

    awesome.

PRA - slow playing never is better than slow playing too much. in a mutly way pot with a FD out, tend towards never.
