I'm seeing 25NL guys playing AK this way a lot nowadays. With the difference that they're actually limping PF as often as not. Do they know something I don't?

JJ versus an UTG raise is almost exactly dead-even for me. With several to act, I'll often let them decide for me. i.e. when a few join me cold-calling the raise, I just sethunt.

When I don't get many overlimpers, as here, I start getting confused, esp. when people slowplay TPTK wtf.

I would fold turn. Once you fail to raise a PP preflop you are mostly looking for a set or all undercards.

If he prots the frop, you're not calling with < TP are you? Villians' big mistake is not on the flop, it's on the turn where he picks up the NFD. He should overbet here.

Anyway... no, it's not standard, but it's not bizzarly uncommon either.

I'm not calling anything on frop in the sethunting case. When I do reraise these PF, I will usually have to figure out a play as I go...

Limping AK EP is not as bad when the guys call 3 barrels in unraised pot with Ax on Ace high board but insta-muck it against preflop open-raise. Also when you face preflop aggro bully on button, you can use AK to LRR his ass. But it's non-standard play anyway, sometimes you can do it as a mix-up in order to show to the table that your EP limps aren't only with speculative hands.

Sklansky in his NL book also talks about limping TPTK type hands, even on button and why that play has its merits.
