Default HU - just give me your blind!

I ran into a unique (to me) heads-up situation tonight in a 9 handed S&G. The blinds were still low - $100/$200 is as high as they got - and I was up against a player who had twice my stack. His play up to this point had been erratic and fairly laggy.

Once we got HU, whenever I raised on the button he would go all in. Every single time. If I limped in, he would check or min raise. I laid down several Aces with medium kickers to his all ins, thinking that with the blinds still low I could wait and trap him with better hands.

With villain's range as any two cards, was I right to wait, or do I take the plunge with a fair hand? Is it better to just start pushing instead of raising, risking $6,0000 for $300? Or just limp until I find a hand I want him to push against (and what is the range there?) I just didn't know what to do here.

This is annoying, I agree. My suggestions would be:
    - Since blinds are still low, limp in with a very wide range (say top 70% of hands) and see if you can see a cheap flop - call his minraises. If you hit top pair any kicker, you're usually good - try to get all your chips in.
    - If he shoves over the top of your raise when you've got say 44+, A7+ or KT/KJ+, call. Any A and better Ks are usually good HU since high card usually wins and pocket pairs play very well HU.

    - I wouldn't open shove with any two cards, but if you do pick up a monster, rather than open shoving, make your standard raise and call when opp shoves over.

with your preiums raise, dont get fancy. he will RR allin anyway which is what you want after your raises with premiums.

if he just checks/minbets after you limp then it is key that you should limp almost anything PF.

i dont think he is as aggresiive PF as you think apart from those allin after your raises, just adjust your PF range to be prepared to go allin (if he does RR 100% of the time).

open shoving is a poor play unless you got AA/KK and he WILL call.
Jman: every time the action is to you, it's an opportunity for you to make the perfect play.
