    Default Value bet my luckbox

Villain was 19/6. I wanted to control pot on flop with strong chance he is carrying a better Ace.
How did I play turn & river? Is river bet too strong? I like to put people in a position to make those heroic calls. Should I have bet less, since he probably isn't on an Ace?

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (6 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

    Button ($43.90)

    BB ($38.75)
    UTG ($43.50)
    MP ($55.75)
    Hero ($68.10)

Preflop: Hero is CO with A, 9.
2 folds, Hero raises to $2, Button calls $2, 2 folds.

    Flop: ($4.75) 5, A, 6 (2 players)
    Hero checks, Button checks.

    Turn: ($4.75) 9 (2 players)
Hero bets $4.5, Button calls $4.50.

    River: ($13.75) A (2 players)
    Hero bets $10, Button folds.

I think you played it ok, but here's my thoughts...he checked the flop, which probably means he is scared of the ace too or hit a set and wants to slow play, or maybe he's pot controlling an ace.

overall (trying not to be result-oriented, but it helps to leave out if he folds or not), I think this is a good spot to lead timidly on the river, like 1/4 or 1/3 pot.
if he was slow playing, and maybe with a good ace, he'll raise and you can push. he also might raise as a bluff. if he has a pair, he might think you have a worse one.
still I can't see this way being hugely different then just potting the river though.
