I don't know if you guys are aware of this guy or not. apparently he made 170K (British-pounds), which is about 330K USD in Sept. He went broke on the 2nd January. Its a must read... also read the comments and his responses.

biggest pot i've won is about $67k and biggest pot i've lost is $100,5k.

Why do guys this stupid make money playing poker. Or is it Gambling. £180K and trying to "buy" a house. You had your house dummy. I don't know, when he talks about the game, doesn't sound like he knows as much about it as the average FTR'r at $50NL.

TJ, he isn't making money, he's riding variance. Short term it looks like he made money, but he went busto twice.

I remember reading a couple 2+2 articles about players like this. One was a kid who got up to $200k I think then went busto. What they don't realize is they will never run that hot again.

His HHs are crazy as well, all of it sounds like the kind of tilt I decided to get rid of when I was at 4NL.. that 47o call "hoping for a split"... mad.

Maybe he has talent, but the fact that he can't hold down a low-stakes game and has to go to a higher game "when he sees a fish", despite that the other 4 players are probably fuckin sharks shows that he is going more for the rush than anything else.

you know, it's funny. But when fish swim around the ocean, all they see are fish. If they could recognize a shark, a shark would never be able to eat, and the ocean would be a happy place free from sharks.

he's now dipping into something called "isa" which i'm guessing is some kind of savings or trust fund. He goes on to say when he loses all of that he will burrow money from "friends".

this is gonna end up so so bad.

I never understand people encouraging guys like this. do you see the way he responds to every comment? like he's loving the attention. I really want to post some really abusive crap... which is how i really feel and the only thing that may get through to this guy.

anybody want to do it with me?... enough of this "you're a talented playa, hope it works out crap".

That's the guys that are taking his money. Of course they want him to pull more money. It's their money if he does.

I'm suddenly reminded of another PL who used to post on these boards

this guy is a loser and I hope he loses everything, goes bankrupt, borrows too much and tries to flee from his debts and gets thrown in jail. Such pathetic losers get no sympathy from me. If I happen to be in the firing line and he donates to me, well that's just a bonus

Yes I find when I'm in a desperation state, my mind often goes to the Firefox help windows as well. That's where you find all of life's answers.

    from the blog...

played £0.15/£0.25, with £400 roll. i got bored, took a few beats, and realised i was getting nowhere. put it all bar $60 on $25/$50. got upto $4100, but lost a few pots and now have £95 left.

    err.....what?

ok, all money has been transferred from bank to poker or other way around and i have a £44k bankroll. slightly more than i expected and plenty to work with. the main problem will be getting off my current downswing. a few people have said i should get out now while i'm still ahead, obviously i can't do that. i want to be a much better player than i am now and also, i think i am addicted. i don't see my addiction as a problem, just a love for the game. i won't be jumping onto $250/$500 until i have built my bankroll a little more. the $100/$200 games will probably be out as well, possibly. the games just aren't there much on crypto except for £10/£20. i'm not sure i could handle that, the most likely thing i'll do is play $50/$100 on betfair. i'll probably do alot of heads up because i am enjoying it (even if it is the main reason i lost so much).

i guess the next few sessions are vital, i didn't play yesterday and not today either. trying to give myself every chance to get off any previous tilt.
