If this guy has any aggression to him, I'd sometimes check/call the river to give a assorted BS hands like a busted straight draw, A3, and A4 a chance to bluff. A retard with a hand like TP or better will sometimes shove anyway.

Why would we be raising more than 4x PF here?

Anyways, I vary my line depending on my read of the villain. If he is aggressive in general or often will float the flop, then I will go for a c/r AI on the turn. If he is passive, which this villain probably is, then I probably also go for 3 streets of value but may bet a little less on the turn.

I like a Check/call on the river. Give him an opportunity to bluff and usually he'll bet less than you would have for 'value' when you're behind.

Well, you call him a moron, so it's probably fine. Still, I am not keen about playing for stacks here. Does anyone like betting a little less on flop and turn, and blocking or c/c river?

bet $2 on flop, pot is $7, bet $5 on turn, pot is $17, and you have $18 behind, instead of $25 with $14 behind. Not much different, I just like leaving more room to manuever with, especially OOP. With your line, you are pretty much committed.

Given the read, this is painfully standard.

I like betting this river into loose players a lot more than trying to induce a bluff, barring a better post-flop read.

I had something similar yesterday with QQ, but the flop had a flush draw and he kept calling my PSB til the river, which completed the flush. By then the pot was, like in this hand, similarly large compared to stack sizes, so I just pushed. He obviously had the flush.

So I was wondering too if I could have gotten away with a c/c losing me less money. Or even a c/f if he shoves the river maybe.. weak opponents aren't pushing anything but the flush in my example imo.

Also, I think this sort of line (just keep value betting weaker opponents hard) works a lot better if you've shown to be splashing around. If you have only shown down winners, this is trickier. If you've been showing bluffs on big bets you made, you have a higher % chance to be good here imo. Even bad players can be influenced by that - ie they'll get annoyed if you manage to bluff them out off a pot.
