Default QQ hits top set and folds on the river

This is a hand from one of my friends who isn't a member here. I found it pretty interesting.

Villan is 32/17 on a small sample. Seemed a little donkish postflop, although nothing ridiculously donkish had been seen yet.

    Comment on all streets please.

I dont like it. On the flop Im definitely betting, but not 1/2pot. I make a standard [for me at least] 2/3rd-ish PSB on the flop and then bet the turn and call a push or depending on reads, c/r AI.

Just to state my opinion, i think he needed to bet the flop 18 and either bet the turn pot and call a push or check/raise huge on the turn.

Folding top set with a 60bb stack sucks. This hand made me puke in my soup.

Yes i keep soup at my computer desk all the time incase i need it for puking.

    lol @ renton.

I agree with comments so far. sucky card on the turn, but 10 outs + donk villain + 60bb = screw it. and yea, bet more on the flop, that just made things more complicated.
as played I agree he isn't beating a lot on the river, but this is just too scared of a way to play imo.

Given action, stacks, bet sizing, etc. this hand really isnt a ton similar, and even if it were the exact same hand we are telling your opponent to get it all in and not fold against your line.

No, I like checking both streets to at least give yourself a chance at winning when he bluffs. I call the river.

    meh

not a lot to comment on, really

    fine, I guess

prob better to lead turn and fold to a raise/call and c/f river if you hate folding sets

or c/c turn and lead river (fold to a raise...)

interesing question here is how would HERO play a small flush?
when the vpip's are high and the value bets are like razors, who can be safe?

I don't recall the hand you mention exactly, but Iowa, it couldn't have been *this* bad.

Ok, so Hero now thinks that he should've check/raised the turn all in or lead out and called a push.

However, he still thinks the river is a fold. I argued that 1. He's letting himself be bluffed, increasing the likelyhood a bit 2. A set or two pair may play this the same way.

He disagrees, he thinks that there's little chance the villan has a set or two pair.

I'm guessing, using his logic, that he'd probably fold a small flush there too, but i'm not sure.

I'm no SHNL genius but I can't see myself folding the river at all. It's pretty obvious he likes his hand on the flop and turn but the range of hands that bet into your river check is huge. Especially lower sets.

Sauce is just stubborn. He wants to think that all this bad shit is variance when he could fix his game easily by realizing you can't expect to outplay someone OOP, tightening up preflop, and making stronger reraises.
