Default KK on an ugly board with a donkey.

Dont know anything bout villain, he was on the other table and it got consolidated. His preflop limp made me think pocketpair or flushdraw. Either way, I dont see a reason to raise the flop and commit myself. He's either way ahead or way behind and I dont want him to fold.

The turn is an awful card, but he bets it insanely weak and it threw me for a loop.

    Thoughts?

Hero should bet stronger preflop, methinks.

I make it 600 to go.

as played? fine after the flop. I think you have to call his tiny turn bet.

Why not raise on the flop?

Maybe he is new and doesn't realize how small his turn bet is in relation to the pot size but is thinking in terms of the blinds.

Hero misplayed the hand on the flop.
    Hero should reraise villian's bet

Why? If villain is bluffing, I'd prefer he continue to bluff. If villain only has 9x, he's not calling much in the way of a raise. If villain has 5x I'm losing my stack.

I'm really only concerned about letting an A draw out cheaply but theres only 3 of those in the deck.

Pot is already 1/2 your stack.

"In tournaments it's often better to pass on slightly higher +eV situations, for ones with a higher % of winning" or something like that. Take the chips and be happy now. Risking your stack for a couple hundred more chips isn't worth it.

Hero has 2 pair, one of them on the board, he probably has the best hand right now, but given UTG's play he has some piece of the flop.
A9 is possible (5 outs), 2 overcards with a FD is possible, the pot is nice, hero wants to end the hand here and take the pot down
