    Full Tilt Poker
UTG+1 is pretty loose and I've suspected him of floating, but I didn't think he would in this spot on the river. SB is a 30/20 aggressive player. There are no draws on the board besides QJ, so I really didn't think SB does this with less than AK or two pair.

I probably bet more on turn if the board is more drawy. I don't see myself ever calling this river.

    No Limit Holdem Ring game
    Blinds: $0.50/$1
    6 players
    Converter

    Stack sizes:
    Hero: $97
    UTG+1: $328
    CO: $217.45
    Button: $97
    SB: $224
    BB: $116.20

    Pre-flop: (6 players) Hero is UTG with Q K
Hero raises to $3.5, UTG+1 calls, 2 folds, SB calls, BB folds.

    Flop: 5 T K ($11.5, 3 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $8, UTG+1 calls, SB calls.

    Turn: 6 ($32, 3 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $22, UTG+1 calls, SB calls.

    River: 8 ($97, 3 players)
SB checks, Hero checks, UTG+1 hesitates and bets $20, SB instantly raises to $80, Hero folds, UTG+1 folds.
Uncalled bets: $60 returned to SB.

    SB shows:

did you consider betting river? if they are both loose then bet and hope they call.

also, the LAGs at these stakes probably dont check a great hand thrice only to raise river

I didn't bet because I didn't think worst hands call on the river. Should I bet here not for value, but to prevent being pushed off my hand by a bluff?

Are you saying you wouldn't mind a call on that river, even without knowing the results?

I'd understand why SB would bluff that weakass bet by Opp but I just don't know what draw to put him on, especially since a lagg would probably raise a draw. I mean I've spewed in this situation plenty of times as SB. What doesn't add up is laggs usually don't super slowplay something. I probably fold thinking it's a fluke, but I wouldn't be suprised if he had something like Q9 maybe?

EDIT: Wow, close. I still probably fold unless I'm convinced to go with my read.

I sometimes check this turn even, in hopes it checks through for pot control, or to see what UTG+1 does and how SB reacts before I have to make a play.

I'd imagine if it checked through the turn, SB would probably lead on the river if he is so aggressive, and we have an easier call I'd imagine.

Does anyone else check this turn? KQ doesn't feel that strong, facing two callers on a non-drawy board.

i think you have to fold the river as played. i think id bet about $30 for value here.

as far as someone checking a monster thrice (ship it warpe!), do you really see this much in these games?

I check turn vs. two villians, at least sometimes.

River bet is to block, also good against 2 villians as opposed to HU.

You got totally squeezed on the river.
