Default Pocket Queens, confusing preflop action

    Hey guys,

Here's a hand I had today. I was pretty confused with the preflop action, and wasn't sure if I should fold or felt the hand after the button re-raised.

    Any thoughts would help!

UTG+1 is 28/14/0.6 over very small sample
Button is 24/19/4 over good sample

    Blinds: $0.50/$1
    6 players
    Converter

    Stack sizes:
    UTG: $34
    UTG+1: $98.75
    CO: $112
    Button: $109.50
    SB: $119.25
    Hero: $107.25

Pre-flop: (6 players) Hero is BB with
UTG folds, UTG+1 raises to $4, CO folds, Button calls, SB folds, Hero raises to $16, UTG+1 calls, Button raises to $36,Hero??

My bankroll is the amount of money I would spend or lose before I got a job. It is calculated by adding my net worth to whatever I can borrow.

This action is not confusing. Its pretty straightforward, actually.

So this should be an autofold most of the time, unless I have a read that the button is a maniac?

He doesn't necessarily need to be a maniac, you just need to know if this raise is somehow a range under your QQ.

So in this spot, the general consensus is to fold Queens. Does this hand play much differently if we have kings here, instead of Queens?

Yeah if we have Kings most likely we're gonna push.

The 4bet is always aces. Today I faced one, but shoved over it with my cowboys. So yeah, it really is aces all the time man..

when he makes that tiny raise into your 3bet and a caller, it looks too much like the nuts or maybe kk, and you only have one bet left at that point.
kings would be tough, and I'd begrudgingly push but don't think folding would be bad either.

surprising to see this type of play with a hands better than queens on stars, opp normally cold calls here.
    Insta-fold btw.

LOL - the last 4 times for me it was Aces vs my Kings

So is it just stubborness that forces us to call? "Well I think he has aces.. but if he has aces. I guess i'll have to pay it off"...

is this call with kings in this spot a profitable +EV in the long run?

I think so because QQ becomes more likekly when you have KK, and you split if he has the other KK.
still the raise size looks like aa, but for 100bb I think it'd be a little weak to fold without a good read.

I actually take a different approach.. unless I have a reason to think otherwise I'll assume aces. Like, if he's very aggro I'm not laying down kings, or if I've been annoying people lately with my raises/reraises I won't either (good chance they're just playing back at me). Today I got lucky and when I shoved over a 4bet it ended up being KK vs KK (and we split the buyin of a 3rd guy who decided to tag along with a lower pp).

You'll run into aces once every 20 KKs you get or something, so that means every 22k hands your 100 KKs will run into AA 5x, you suck out 1/5 so that's a net -3 buyins. It feels like it happens way more often though..

It depends. +EV against certain ops.
