As A side note, this was supposed to be a 3$ raise I FU with the slider

    FullTiltPoker Game #1805333675: Table Westcliff - $0.25/$0.50 - No Limit Hold'em

    Seat 8: Mungo36 ($64.50)

My thoughts here were.... you didnt call with A4s and Ill have to see 33.
you dont have 44 because you wouldnt have tried to push me off Ditto A4 or 33. I am thinking some PP 99up

    *** TURN *** [4c 4h 3d] [7s]
    Mungo36 bets $16
    Da Hero calls $16

Im thinking he has a big PP now..... COOL

    *** RIVER *** [4c 4h 3d 7s] [7h]
Mungo36 bets $33.50, and is all in
Da Hero calls $25.40, and is all in
Uncalled bet of $8.10 returned to Mungo36

Either you or Villain is a donkey for sure!

    You're either WA or WB

The villain is either a donk thinking his overpair is good or he got extrememly lucky calling with SHIT prefllop. He hasn't got QQ+ and I doubt he has a 4 or 7, but its a tricky spot.

I cant see what he thinks he beats in this spot, unless he has 44/77/33 or (suprisingly) 4x. Its faily obv you have QQ/KK/AA though.

I would probably RR on the flop, make it 20-25 - making later streets easier to decide if he called.

    well,

my donkey buddy called me with 46
    but hey it was SOOOOOOTED...

I dont know HOW this crap keeps happening to me but Im happy to know that I wasnt WAY off in my thought process.

three people at the table said.
I cant believe you called that down, it was so obvious what he had.....

I looked back at the hand history and still didnt see how it was obvious.
a somewhat SAIN seeming player calling a 4X PF raise with 46

What got me second guessing myself was doing a search on the guy after he left the table.... hes reg for a $300 MTT so I was just wonderin if this is a advanced donkey suckout play I was unaware of and needed to add to my tool kit.

With the effective stack 112xBB even if you knew opp had AA here is not calling 3 more BB's with 64s a good play?

Most players i've seen (and I don't play high stakes) will stack off with AA so he's laying 116-3 or about 36-1 on a call. (and was correct in the assumption that you'd stack off with your AA)

Im sure 64s is not more than 36-1 to flop some sort of monster that has you crushed.

What is interesting is the unconventional post flop play he uses when out of position. Is this donk play or has he worked something out? I certainly wouldn't read that he had a 4 either from his action. He may be a donk or he may be an evil genius!!

Yea Ginger, sounds like a +EV play to me

Ill start callin every raise with anything on the off chance I hit a hidden monster and can stack someone with it.

    love those implied odds thoughts.

Hmm IF he has AA and I flop trips or a flush or a straight and IF he doesnt fill up with it. And IF the flop is just untreatening enough that he will call me down with overs WOW I can make money...

yea sounds like he has the system. I personally think his system was...
he thought he would bluff me and got lucky as hell.

not with anything. 64s has value as it can hit big. IF I had decided to limp it and then you raised 3xBB, I would consider a call.

Yes it may be deemed as a 'mistake', but it's a small mistake and if it induces a big mistake from my opponent then it would be worth it.

I didn't mean to piss you off and my query was an open one, but I thought the idea of Deep stacked poker was to trade off mistakes and if my opponent will make huge $$ mistakes on later streets then my making small preflop mistakes in an effort to induce those is perhaps +$EV.

I wouldn't worry about this situation all that much. It might be something as simple as he won a huge pot about 30 minutes ago with 46s and decided to call a standard raise and got lucky.

    1. He's a noob donk and thinks "the better the hand, the more I should bet"
    OR
    2. He saw that you raised pf, yet still potted it when a SHlT flop came up. This means you either have overpair, or overpair. maybe AK... but also consider overpair. Thus, it was an optimal place to fastplay / check-raise his trips. Plan went off without a hitch.

BTW doesn't villain's 99 lead this flop rather than check? Anybody can put you on big paint and so mid pairs try to bet you out of your free turn card.

I think gingerwizard was absolutely right when he said that implied odds would make calling with 4-6s PF correct.

If i were villian on that hand, i think i lead out instead of c/r ing because c/r ing looks a lot more like 4-x.

If i were Hero (you) i would reraise on the flop like pokermuzz mentioned. If he pops it again or decides his hand is still worth a call, then it becomes clear he probably has you beat and you save yourself the trouble of calling off your entire stack to find out whether he was bluffing or not.

In your posts that i have read you ask for advice and then seem to criticize it. I am not suggesting you need to incorporate anyones advice into your current playing style, but gratitude for people's time and effort responding to your posts would be a more appropriate response. There is a difference between disagreeing and providing a counterpoint and being rude.
