    Default Several 100NL FR Hands

The following will be a series of hands I have played this month at 100NL Ring on PokerStars. I will give information on each hand and thought processes.

Hand #1 - This hand was a little nonstandard because of the number of players that ended up being in the pot postflop, and the size of the pot on the turn. I have no history with Villain, and after the action on the flop I put him on either a flush draw, two pair or another set, with an outside chance of AQ. I pushed the turn because I didn't want to keep villain drawing if he did, and possibly underrepresent my hand with an overbet push. My friend and I had a pretty long discussion about this hand, and he says it was an -EV play because I would push out too many bad hands, and instead I should bet a smaller amount to keep other hands around.

Hand #2 - I don't have any history with either Villain. The situation is kind of strange because of the amount of money behind.

Hand #3 - This situation is considering EV a little more than the other hands. It appears on the river Villain wakes up, betting almost the amount of the pot. Should Hero bet the flop, 3bet the turn, raise the river, call the river? I have Villain running a pretty standard 13/7 over 200 hands, but I did EDIT: NOT have those stats at the time.

    River: ($41.20) J (3 players)
BB bets $39, Hero ... (raise? call?)

    Hand #4 -
I have no history or reads with Villain. The flop looks pretty good for me, and then on the river comes a nice card, with the only possible hands to win being a backdoor flush or a set. The thing is, the bet on the river is extremely large. Do I give Villain credit for a weaker ace/split pot/bluff here more often than a hand that beats me? Do I find a raise anywhere in the hand with the relative large bets I'm faced with? And finally, do we call every street?

Hand #5 - Villain is running 38/4.5 over 150 hands, but I didn't have those stats at the time. The flop minimum check-raise is always an eyebrow raiser, but do we consider this calldown a good way of controlling the pot, or should I raise for value/information? Again, do we call every street?

    1. Bet $50, youre priced in to any river card any way.

    2. Stick it all in and gambOOl IMO

    3. I call here, but only because its stars and reopening the betting seems bad but pushing cant be that bad surely?

    4. i make a minraise somewhere here to slow opp down a bit because his hand is a set played goot.

    5. Call on the river, expect to see Kx more often that KQ/set IMO.

    1. I bet ~$35 on the turn. You want to keep draws around (for a bad price) not push them out.

    2. For 30BB I push and gamble. You might fold out some of Button's range that you're behind (small to med pp's) and you're out of position so just get it in before the A flops and scares him off.

    3. I bet flop b/c I always would with an ace and a drawy board. I bet the turn harder just to make it easier to get it all-in. As played I would 3-bet the turn, and push river AI.

    4. You've underepped your hand nicely, so call the river. Well played.

    5. I like calling down here.

    1. A smaller turn bet would be better. You want a flush draw to call with bad odds here if possible, and not force everyone out. I'd be betting $35 to $50.

    2. Nearly all of the time I would push. Shorty could be going all-in with more marginal holdings - any pair, a lot of Aces, KQ etc, or even less. If button is pretty good he may hold AA/KK, but more likely he holds a similar hand to the first guy and just hopes you'll fold (he has the same info on shorty as you). If both are holding less than AA/KK most of the time you're good to get it all in.

    3. I'd need to know if he's one of those players that only ever raises AA/KK. If so I might find a call. Otherwise it's a raise. You're trying to do whatever you can to get that all-in from the turn.

    4. Raise the flop or turn. As played I guess it's a call. Generally I'd put him on an A with the bet, bet, bet line, but the preflop limp call indicates it may be a set. Raise the flop and you'll find out where you stand. The call/call/call line is OK if you put him on another A.

    5. Call.
