    Default Going for 1st

$5.5 6st SnG on Paddy Power
    1st pays $21
    2nd pays $9

    SB - 2900
    BB - Her0 - 2200
    Button - 900

    Blinds 50, 100

SB had been LAggy stats: 45/25

    Hero is dealt (TdTc)
Button Folds, SB raises 400 to 500, Hero goes all in 2200

My thoughs were he was on the steal and I could take it down right there, if he calls with two overs we are flipping for the win.

Should I be playing tighter to go ITM with Button on short stack or play for the win?

im pretty sure you know you want to play for the win. TT is a strong enough hand that this is a good play.
eeevees are not monies yet...they are like baby monies.

Pushing is the only good play here. That big of a raise is almost surely a steal and you should take it down the majority of the time pf. If he does call its probly against two overs, but im willing to take a flip here.

Blinds 50, 100..... I think you could wait all day. However, I like a call here. If you had been in the SB or the button, you would have raised 4-5X the BB. Why not call and see a flop? I think whats more important is when the blinds are going to raise and the small stacks stats and his range. I am not tangling with a larger or equal stacks here PF. I will glady see a flop and play accordingly.

Unless you like to flip for third which pays nothing.

I dont think you can call off 25% of your stack with TT when the flop is going to bring an overcard to your tens over 50% of the time. His stats show hes raising much less than premium hands and the bet of 5x the bb in the sb usually means theyre on a steal. You have the 5th best starting hand and if he calls your more than likely at worst a coinflip. If you win you are more than likely going to take first. Even assuming he calls you every time and its a coinflip, 50% of the time you lose and your out 5.50, the other 50% of the time you win and are most likly taking first for a profit of $15.50.

In the situation when you just smooth call, the majority of the time your going to have overcards on the flop and with his stats im sure hes going to lead at any flop putting you in a much tougher situation.

I think you played it fine. Given your read on SB and the fact that he's raising when folded to in the SB, this is very often a steal. You have good FE here too considering the stack sizes.

BTW this is not a matter of playing for first or ITM, it's a matter of getting your chips in when you have a) lots of FE and b) very likely the best hand.

    Good Move.

    A. You probably have the best hand pre-flop.
    B. They may fold.
    c. You are likely to win a showdown.

    Go all-in.
The race doesn't always go to the fastest or the strongest but it's a pretty good bet.

    Right play.....I push.

I hate the bubble however over time this hand (10-10) will take down the pot allowing you to take some chips into heads up.
It's not how many pots you win, it's what's in them that counts.

There is no other way to play this hand.

What if BU open pushed, can he call here? Let's say that hero has seen BU call big AI's before and thinks that there is a strong possibility that BU will call his shove. Is it still a call? Would we be looking at a calling an AI situation?

I agree that we have FE and BU can't call unless he has a fairly strong hand. Can we reverse this situation and put hero on the BU and villain in the SB and make this a push/call scenario for villain to find out what villain can call profitably with?

Is all of this really practical and worth thinking about in this situation?

I would probaly fold here if he openpushed, dont know why, i just would do it. I usually play like this "i rather push allin, then call a allin" and i use my read on the guy too.
