    Default $33 FT SNG

Hey guys. I've been wanting to post a tourney for a while, and I finally got around to it. Most of my game has been learned from postings on this forum. In January I started at the $5 SNGs, was a steady winner there and moved up to $10, $20, $30, and now I'm beginning to test the $50 waters. Any thoughts on this $30 SNG would be appreciated (it's a short one).

The Tournament Trimmer (v1.1.1w) was developed by JeffreyGB at http://www.FlopTurnRiver.com.

    ---Tournament Summary---

    petecuss wins the pot (600)

-----Hand 14----- OK, this is the hand in question. Was my pre-flop raise slightly too loose? Barring that though, what do you do post flop? Obviously I can never foresee a boat, but should I worry about him even having the case ace? But it is bubble time and I still have a healthy stack and can afford to wait.

Any hand I don't comment on is fine by me.

Hand 1: Calling the raise is fine, I would fold the flop bet. As played, I would fold the river unless you had a strong read that he was weak.

Hand 2: I could fold this or call, considering a raise, re-raise, and you're OOp. The only hand you feel comfortable with post flop first to act is a set. As played, textbook laydown.

Hand 6: I like the steal.

Hand 7: I made a similar play with Aces in the FTR SitnGo experiment. Try 1/2 pot CB instead of 3/4, you may get some extra chips and you still give fishies bad odds to chase draws.

Hand 8: I'm really not too sure about this one. I lean torwards a fold considering it's nearly 1/3 of your stack, and you're probably flipping or dominated.

Hand 10: Yeah, wait for a better spot. Good fold.

Hand 11: I don't mind the shove over stupid min-raise, but re-raise is also an option; if flop hits, shove the rest in.

Hand12: Nah, raise is fine. You're probably flipping for his chips, you don't wanna deal with other people who might try something stupid instead of checking it down.

Hand 13: I think this is fine to raise with on the button, only hang up is raising into the big stack. Still fine by me. Fold is standard.

Hand 14: Yes, the PF raise is too loose. You're OOP for the rest of the hand, and any Ahigh card has you dominated/will probably shove over. Wait for a better spot to blind steal. As played, I'd probably get it AI on the flop. Nothing you can do about the boat. Also, though, this is why you don't raise Arag UTG, odds are you'll run into a higher ace like you did here.

Thanks so much for confirming a lot of suspicions. Some follow ups though:

Hand 1: *I* was the one who bet out on the flop (I didn't call a bet, as it looks like you thought). That may have been a bit loose though.

Hand 2: I thought I had the chips to call for set value alone. I definitely put the re-raiser on a high pp.

Hand 8: I don't know. In my experience, shorties pushing have a high ace (like he did) or any pp. I feel that my TT are ahead more times than not. Anyone agree or disagree?

Hand 14: When on the bubble, what aces would you raise with UTG? AT+? A9+? What about calling a UTG raise? Should I have AJ+? Walking the line between careless and aggressive at this point is tough for me. Reads on opponents probably factor in a bit too.
