Default Life is Good + Turn Spot

After a brutal run at nl200 that left me short on cash at a whoring site I was playing at, I moved to nl100 for a few K hands.

10k hands and 24 buy ins later I’m back on my feet and pumped to get back on Party and start owning ppl before the challenge gets going. I’ve also gotten much better at grinding out sessions (1st time ever I’ve averaged over 1k hands/day for a decent period of time).

Here’s a turn spot from my last session that had me thinking.

Villain is semi-donkish despite reasonable stats (26/15/1.5 but he does shit like minraising preflop) :

    - fennek_dood sitting in seat 1 with $198.50
    - Genitruc sitting in seat 2 with $127.85
    - nexusgott sitting in seat 3 with $90.70 [Dealer]
    - Pyke9 sitting in seat 4 with $111.75
    - Wrath3 sitting in seat 5 with $100.25
    - daniebr sitting in seat 6 with $101.10 [Sitting out]

    Pyke9 posted the small blind - $0.50
    Wrath3 posted the big blind - $1.00

    ** Dealing card to Genitruc:

    fennek_dood raised - $4.00
    Genitruc called - $4.00
    nexusgott called - $4.00
    Pyke9 folded
    Wrath3 called - $4.00

    ** Dealing the flop:

    Wrath3 checked
    fennek_dood checked
    Genitruc bet - $16.50
    nexusgott folded
    Wrath3 called - $16.50
    fennek_dood folded

    ** Dealing the turn:

    Wrath3 bet - $12.37
    Genitruc…

I'll be honest, I'm tempted to raise this stupid bet because I've seen people do this with a flush draw more times than I care to remember. They think you'll be scared enough of the straight that they can set their price to see the river.

Mcat- We dont care if they do this with a flushdraw, because if the flush hits we are check/folding and if it doesnt we can pick off a bluff and most importantly we want to let them draw to a flush because the times when their flush completes our boat we stack em and that actually makes it more +ev to let them draw for free than to bet an amount which forces them to fold. There is a section on this in NLHTaP btw.
