I hate to say it but I just don't see the 'nucks pulling off a win.
That being said, Luongo hasn't lost 3 straight since January.

I liked it a lot more when the Canucks were an offensive team. The defensive minded crap might have won the games in the regular season but it is so boring and frustrating to watch them fuck up with the puck when they're in another defensive team's zone.

I hate Calgary but I am actually cheering for them because I really do not want to face Anahiem next round.
However, it's not like San Jose is going to much easier...just a little easier.

FUCKING AMAZING. After the game we got in our car and drove down Robson with a huge Canucks flag and it was so awesome. It was just a big party downtown, yay Monday night hockey! People kept randomly taking pictures of me holding the flag, especially tourists. I keep thinking that I'm gonna end up on some random Japanese publication sometime down the road.

FWIW, I tried betting about 5 people $100 that the Canucks would lose and no one took it.

You're kidding, right? I know their record wasn't great against Anaheim in the reg. season, but I think the 'Nucks are well suited to playing the Ducks.

Yup you're right, 0-3-1 in the regular season.

Anaheim is more physical than either Dallas was or Vancouver is. If they can't adjust to that, they will lose.

Vancouver's power play is complete shit. If they don't fix it, they will lose. They scored twice on the PP last night which is a start, but they need to do this on a regular basis. Prior to last night, the last time they scored on the PP was game 1.

Vancouver was lucky to win the series vs Dallas IMO. They outplayed Dallas last night, but the rest of the games I thought they were unimpressive. If they play like they did in games 1-6, they will lose to Anaheim, I guarantee it. If they play like they did last night, they will have a good chance to win.

The only Canucks I saw playing in the playoffs like they wanted to win the cup were Luongo, Linden, Nasland, Morrison, and Bieksa. Ohlund was good but he was regular season good, he didn't kick his game up to playoff level.

All I can say is this - hits to the head should be an automatic penalty.

I know Rob Neidermeir (sp?) wasnt trying to injure Hansen, but he could have hit his shoulder just as easily as his head for just as effective a hit. I know there are other situations where a head hit is almost unavoidable - even so, I don't think the injury risk is worth it.

Luongo was awesome, but as I think Courtie said, he didn't really step his game up. MVP in reg. season != MVP in playoffs. Close, but not quite.

Anyone have any real news where Luongo was for 3 minutes in the OT?
My best guess is he had the poops!
