You certainly can't do it with ATC from the SB, too much chance the BB comes along. And you can't stop and go from the button at all.

In the BB with 3k stacks I would rather re raise or call or fold pre flop, the pot is a little to small to open push. I'd want to be shoving about a pot sized bet on the flop.
