    Starcraft 2 is supposedly being announced on May 19th. And 10 years after that, the beta might be released!

    Starcraft 2? Azns around the world will disappear for weeks again. There might be a few deaths again. I think Starcraft may be our governments way of keeping China from overtaking us.

    Totally unconfirmed but thanks so much for sharing - was a total Starcraft addict years ago and as long as it's not as drastically different as WC3 was from WC2 I'll spend plenty of time with SC2 and am certainly hopeful this pans out.

    As to Fnord...yea let's see if they can't figure out who he is from his picture after the news is publicly leaked on this forum from a blizzard employee...bye bye career...always have poker and porn.

    he's always been smart enough not to divulge any company secrets, and he's certainly not going to start now.

    This is of course assuming that he has inside knowledge of this, which is a really big assumption. Ditto with the whole thing even being true...

    fnord has stated that he works on secret projects. I really cant imagine what blizzard would be up to if its not diablo3 starcraftII or something that atleast has to do with those continuum's

    Somewhat confirmed:

    We do intend to announce a new product at the Worldwide Invitational next month in Korea, and we appreciate the enthusiasm and interest in getting an advance look at what that will be, but players will have to wait until May 19th to find out more. Also, we have a very strong connection with the characters and settings of StarCraft, and we do plan to revisit that universe at some point in the future, but we don't have anything new to announce in that regard at present.

    nah I think that means its not starcraft. They are not specifically saying "its not a sc game" but the last sentence makes it seem pretty obvious that its not sc2.

    Another MMO would be suicide wouldnt it? Im sure alot of wow suscribers would cancel, or decide to just stick with wow and it would be ---EV. I really really really hope they make Diablo 3, I cant tell you how many hours I spent playing that game, my opinion of the best game of the world (for its time). Either way, its a win win situation for me, as Id love to play any and all of the above.

    ok Im calm now, and I realize the likelyhood of this is very slim. Blizzard has never been much of an innovator but instead they just polish polish polish. But its ok to dream I guess.. think tribal wars, but better thought out and with actually graffics.
