FTOPS Main Event Question

I've never played in a huge online tourney like the Sunday Million, FTOPS or WCOOP. I'm tempted to play in the FTOPS Main Event this Sunday, b/c I have a big block of free time for a change. Is buying in directly a stupid idea? Entry is $535 and my BR is 11k atm. Should I try to satellite in? There's a $109 turbo tourney earlier that afternoon which pays the top 100 and some SNGs that either pay two top (for $160) or winner only (for $75).

Thoughts?

I would recommend against the turbo sats, it's all push fold and coming from cash I assume that's not your strong suit.

Stars is adding a bunch of money to the million this sunday, if you have money there I would play that instead.

What he said. I've never played in the million before, but I plan to buy in this weekend with FPPs.

And god, do ever I want to play that $109 turbo because I'm sure it's going to be SOO soft, but I'm just not bankrolled for a $535 tourney (and I don't play on FT right now anyway). If you have an 11K bankroll then playing this tourney is a stupid idea whether you buy in direct or satellite in.
