    Default Another AK hand

southmoran1 and hornets were playing a lot of hands in this one. They were very loose aggressive players. They would call raises and weren't afraid to bet out on the flop to steal hands even early on. They were both hitting some lucky hands, especially hornets.

I thought he was making a move on me here based on some of his previous plays, but I just called to see a flop instead of going all in. I figured I could get into a hand with this guy and take down a nice pot.

Just wondering how you would play this hand.

I would just make the hand look like this.

    PokerStars Game #9985542829: Tournament #50635003, $5.00+$0.50 Hold'em No Limit - Level IV (50/100) - 2007/05/18 - 20:42:19 (ET)

Seat 4: Mr TKO (880 in chips)
Seat 5: BulletTeeth (4000 in chips)
    Seat 7: Santas$lave (780 in chips)

As played, just shove preflop over his re-raise.

Your stack is just on the boundary where I would just open shove preflop. At 13x BB I would just open shove, at 14x BB I would probably standard raise. Either is fine in this case IMO. That said, if you want to standard raise, make it 250-275 to go rather than 300 - if you get called and miss the flop it makes your c-bet a bit smaller.

As played, easy shove over his re-raise. You can't call off almost half your stack then fold the flop and I can tell it didn't feel good to stick the rest of your stack in when no A or K came on the flop.

The fact that this player was in almost every pot really disguised when he actually had a hand. It turned out that he held AA, so I guess I was just destined to lose my entire stack on this hand no matter what I did unless I folded preflop, which just isn't going to happen in that spot.

    Thanks for the replies.
