    Default TT in SB

$10 FO on stars. 609 players to start, there are about 20 left at the moment. Real money starts at ~4th. Big stack in the hand hasnt been too out of line considering he is a big stack. I haven't been out of line either, there are a few too many gamblers on the tables still to get too far out.

I really didn't know what the best play was in this situation. I think a pf push may have been the way to go.

I hate these awkward stack size situations. If you were 60,000 or under it's a clear push, and if u have 100,000 plus it's fine to just 3x reraise, and if he comes back over the top u MIGHT be able to fold depending on how loose or tight ur opponent is and what your table image is. With your chip stack, I think your raise was fine, and then u get it all-in on the flop assuming the flop doesn't have an a or isn't like k q x or another really horrible texture. You can push as well, but the only problem with a push is that would you push aa or kk that hard in that spot? I think its good to play a hand like 10-10 like u play AA, so that in the long run its harder for opponents to narrow down your range (although I suppose if you only play with them one time it doesn't really matter).
Ultimately, the way u played it is ok, but a push isn't bad either. If you went broke here that's just bad luck, but I think u can justify playing it the way u did or a push.

I think this is OK, push any flop if he smooth calls, you don't want to try and guess.

I just move in pre flop.

Just push. They make retarded calls.

If you reraise pre, you're committing a large portion of your chips anyways making it difficult to fold on a scary flop since you will be getting good odds to call. You're also oop. Just push preflop.

given that i didnt push pre, what do I do post flop when there is an A and a Q on the flop?? I have ~40000.

I really expected a fold preflop, and was surprised to be called so I hadnt really formed any idea of what to do on certain flops, which I usually try to do.

I'll take a stab here for my first post.
Given that you didn't push pre, and board is A-Q-x,
    I'll check fold this.
    My thought pattern is this:
Villain openraised, then called off a combined 45% of his stack, so he (most likely) has a hand.
If you do check, and he bets, you still have 10bbs left and have the button next hand, so a push steal is still possible.

Assuming he is solid, that is a flop that more than likely could have hit him.
I think we small pairs can be safely eliminated from his possible holdings, from the call of your re-raise.

Now if that flop comes down Q-x-x I push. (assuming I played like you did to this point)
