I really didn't know what the best play was in this situation. I think a pf push may have been the way to go.

I hate these awkward stack size situations. If you were 60,000 or under it's a clear push, and if u have 100,000 plus it's fine to just 3x reraise, and if he comes back over the top u MIGHT be able to fold depending on how loose or tight ur opponent is and what your table image is. With your chip stack, I think your raise was fine, and then u get it all-in on the flop assuming the flop doesn't have an a or isn't like k q x or another really horrible texture. You can push as well, but the only problem with a push is that would you push aa or kk that hard in that spot? I think its good to play a hand like 10-10 like u play AA, so that in the long run its harder for opponents to narrow down your range (although I suppose if you only play with them one time it doesn't really matter).
Ultimately, the way u played it is ok, but a push isn't bad either. If you went broke here that's just bad luck, but I think u can justify playing it the way u did or a push.
