    Default Hows My Line Here?

$4K Guaranteed $11 buy in on PP, blinds 30/60, Hero UTG+2, Villain MP3 and largest stack at the table. He has played loose and built his stack calling against the odds and hitting on the river. 2 hands previous he chased a gutshot against a guy with an over pair to the board and hit it on the river, so he has been very lucky.

I'm pretty sure villain is chasing again here. Assuming he is looking for the str8 or Flush, is pushing here the correct play? Or is the threat of a made set too high? I don't believe he has AA or QQ as no re raise pre flop, so at worst, best hand he could have is 88. Is this situation too marginal to play for my whole stack at this stage? Would appreciate any comments on how I played this hand pre flop and on the flop.

I would raise more pre flop, pot flop, push whatever is left on the turn. If you raise to 250 pre flop and everyone calls you might even be able to open push flop and you usually get looked up by Ax with all that money in there.

If you think someone else will bet, check raising AI on the flop is even better, but you don't want to give a free card so if you're in doubt, bet.

As played, you're certainly pushing turn.

Raise to 250ish preflop (depending on the looseness of the table you might need to go up even more).

That flop is about as nice as you could want. It looks to me like pot has around 1k. I think your flop bet was fine. Depending on how aggro the table is, you can go for a weaker lead here too and hope they come over the top of you.

With two callers on the flop and a pot of over 2500 k on the turn your whole goal is to get all your chips in on that turn and hope to get a call. If TAKOA will call a push with a gutshot, then just push. If either player will bet the turn if you check, then check/raise. If one of em has 88, time for a new tourney.

I'm going to go against the grain here,
I like the smaller preflop raise from his position.
Playing big pots are tough OOP.
Thus it is easier to get away from the hand if you miss or he comes back at you too hard.

As for this hand, absolutely, push 'em all-in on the turn.
