what would you do? i couldn't put a finger on the guy, he's not a TAG nor is he a LAG, that definitly not. Should I push or fold? Is calling an option?
    I think I'll FOLD!!

Opp raised 2x BB. Was that their normal raise? That type of raise with their chip stack is a little weird, like they want action. Could be holding a big hand.
However.....this also looks like it could be a weak button steal attempt.

I actually might reraise w/o putting opp AI. You're defining your hand (although it's not a great hand) while giving them an option of folding if this was in fact a weak steal attempt.

How does BellaBestia play? because if you do this they can come over the top with anything.
It's not how many pots you win, it's what's in them that counts.

that is the question, he is sort of a player you just can't define. He was a little bit passive and I just didn't know what to do with those 9s. He was the short stack but I would still be badly crippled if I lost. I ended up folding, he ended 5th, and I was 3rd so I don't regret it much, it could be the other way around. But these types of situations confuse me, especially if I'm dealing with those "invisible" sorts of players that just sit around and suddenly wake up. Yes, that sounds like TAG who was just dealt AA but that didn't feel right either. If he was going AI all the time just because he's short I'd call in a sec. I didn't notice ANY pattern with him (in a bad way I mean) But he raised rarely so I thought maybe he does have a big hand and just wants action...

Just push over him. 99 is good here more often than not. Before he raised he had 10bbs. So, he is pot committed regardless so might as well put him all in. If he wins, you're still fine. I see this play at the lower levels a lot with mediocre hands trying to steal. Better players will do this with big hands. Good players will just shove regardless of their hand.

And no, calling is far from an option.
