How did the SB get his stack, and which buy-in is this?

Firstly, fold this crap preflop from UTG+1. By the time blinds hit 50/100 you should almost never be open limping. If you're first in, you should always be either raising or, if you're not comfortable raising, then folding preflop.

As played, I think you played the flop and turn fine. I would definitely call the river.

    BTW:

It's worth nothing. Forget about your table image at a low buyin. Modifying your play based upon a supposed table image is overthinking at low buyins IMO.

SB got a few breaks, but he's been playing well. However, I think he's shown a tendency to call you down.

I agree with the open limping, but KT at a 6-handed table is at least worth seeing a flop with, no?

From the CO or button I would definitely raise it, but with four players still to act, two of which have you outstacked, I'd probably just let it go. KT is dominated by hands that your opps might just call your raise with rather than re-raise (KJ, KQ, AT).

He could be milking you with a AJ, J9, or some sort of flush. If opp's feeling particularly invincible after playing well and getting lucky, he could complete with all of the above.

It's unlikely he's got a set: KK and QQ would raise PF and continue to grow the pot on the turn. TT would likely also raise. While 88 and 44 would complete, only a maniac would chase with that flop.

AJ/J9: He's got you over the barrel. Although wouldn't he want to grow the pot on the turn? Possible, but unlikely. Even if he does have the nuts, the ~3.5:1 odds on the river are very enticing to pay off his flopped miracle.

    Flush: Same as AJ/J9

We're ahead of everything else that he's completed with. Other possibilites are a busted str8 draw, a lower 2 pair, one one pair, a complete bluff.

If you've only played 5 hands so far, he may pigeonhole you for being tight. This can lead to some overconfidence on his part following his heater. Your PSB on the flop looks like a scared bet/bluff. You show more weakness checking the turn. If he's got something you beat, he may think he can now bet you out of the pot. My guess if he's probably got a jack and may have paired Q, T or 8.

I'd call this at the least. If you call and lose though, you're down to playing SS with 1600 left. If you don't believe you can come back from that(tough table), then I'd actually push over here and make my stand, but that's just me .

    ***edit: spelling***

Preflop both folding and raising are better then limping
    flop is fine
Turn: would probably bet here, if he does not have a flush now I dont want to give him a cheap shot of getting it

As played I call the river, there is just too much of a chance he is trying to buy the pot with a missed Str8/Flush draw
