    Default Should I move up

I have only played about 40 $5.50s but have beaten them for a ROI of 18% and an ITM of 41%. (I don't finish well I got 5 firsts, 4 seconds, and 7 thirds).

I now have a $300 BR and since I got 30 buy-ins I want to know if you suggest moving up. I would assume that the competition is just as soft.

Should I go up to the $11s or continue playing $5.50s for a larger sample?

Take a shot at the 10's at least. Run a few sets of them and then evaluate.

I agree with bigspenda, take a shot. At low levels, ROI is less important than bankroll when deciding what level to play since the quality of play between the $5.50s and the $11s is not likely to be too different.

If you're nervous about moving up, then wait until you win a $5.50 then play a $11. That way you're freerolling for the $11. If you finish ITM in the $11 then play another $11. Rinse and repeat until you feel comfortable playing the $11s permanently.

I'm following Taipan's recommended strategy atm. My first $10 followed a $5 win that boosted me over the $220 mark(planning on becoming a permanent resident at $275ish). When I finish ootm, I drop back down to the $5s until I win another and go back to 'freerolling' the $10s. There are plenty of laggy donkish folks in the $10s just itching to give their chips away just like how the $5s ran, but the only difference is that there are now 2-4 conscious folks at a table instead of the usual 1-2...and one or two of the conscious may be thinkers.

Due to this minor change, the games play slightly differently. The first person tends not to bust out until reaching midway into the 15/30 limit. There also tends to be more people at the later stages, so the push/fold game becaomes a bit more important.

My game plan hasn't changed much from allowing the laggs to give me thier chips while bullying the TWs, but now there are a few less laggs and a few more TWs. Feel free to disregard this because I've only played a handful of $10s, but that's my perspective coming fresh from the $5s. Cheers!

I think 50 buy ins is a more accurate number to go for then 30, however in the lower buy ins you can get by with 30-40
40 buy ins for the 5.5 is 220, so you can safely start playing the $11, and drop back to 5.5 if you hit 220 or so
