    Default Donktastic?

Villain is somewhat tight preflop, that is all I know.
If he's paying attention, he will notice that this is the first time I have 3bet at this table, and that I am playing fairly tight.

Secondary question, does pushing the river look bluffy?

    Ni Han.

I think half-pot does the trick against a lot of opponents though.

I like it. I also prefer a push since pushing reps AK and maybe KK whereas I dont think he'll believe you have AK as often if you only half pot. (since AK wants value from a single K).

    How tight is "somewhat tight"?

It only costs half as much for the same sized pot.

Wah. I really don't understand this hand. Just when poker was starting to make sense. I don't understand what we are repping on the river that doesn't bet the flop? (or turn) Please help so I can sleep at night. If you're repping AK surely you don't make a point of not C-betting?

C-betting AK on every missed flop was so two years ago....

Thats a really good flop to check behind with pretty much anything that missed. Also Fnord youre probably right. He definatly doesnt believe a half pot bet as often but its probably not even close to half as often. Might balence nicer though.

Yeah, I think half-pot vs shove comes down to your table image and what you know about how your game and/or opponent plays.

    Newbie-question:

I am just a 50$-donk, but isn't it standard making a cbet when 3-betting, at least when u say its your first 3-bet and u have been playing fairly tight? Or is it harder for him to believe u to have a big pocket pair since the 3-bet was from the button?

Looks pretty good, looks like you're representing AK on the river.

Except checking the flop and calling the turn with only a gutshot (if you had AK)
doesn't really seem to represent AK that combined with a shove after villian has checked the river (showed potential weakness) ie. a move more likely to to induce a fold than a call means that a thinking player might look you up with a lot & on such a scary board there is also a lot that villian could have to look you up with + AK/Flush himself.

Edit: I think my post sort of makes sense but in a real time situation without that much time to think I would fold alot acually if I was villian, thinking you must have a monster to shove on a board that is certain to have hit me pretty hard.

A relatively tight player cold calls my 3-bet OOP. The only hand he is folding to a cbet on this flop is TT and AK. At least that's what I was thinking at the time.
I figured that a c-bet on this flop in this situation would be spew. Better off taking a free card and hoping it improves me a bit.
