    Default trips facing river shove

(no HH so gonna describe it from ingame log)
    My stack $40.60 SB
    Villain stack $67.2 BB

    I get A J

fold, limp, fold, I raise to $2, villain calls, fold

    flop: A 5 A pot $4.20

    I check, villain bets $2.20, I call

    turn: 10 pot $8.60

I check, villain bets $4.40, I raise to $10.10, he calls

    river: 2 pot $28.80

I check, he shoves pretty fast.. $25.60 for me to call

I folded here, but thinking I shoulda called maybe, I mean, what can he have? Do I beat his range.

Also critique welcome on the rest of the hand, I opted to mostly slowplay here because at this limit yesterday I had a hard time getting paid off if I bet all my good hands strongly, so I opted to add some slowplay/caution today

You beat nothing but a bluff.

why didn't you bet the flop?
why are you attempting to check/raise the turn and potentially give a heart draw a free look at the river? why is the turn raise so small?

Started playing again yesterday so really rusty. I checked because I was pretty sure he was gonna bet again, and I didn't raise too hard because I didn't want to commit myself too much (just pressed the bet 1/2 pot button I think). And yeah I really shoulda just bet the flop.. cuz I actually instacalled the river for some reason and he flipped Qh9h.. wtf?

So yeah I'm having some problems getting back in the game, especially in big/medium pots where I pay off way too often, although my winrate seems kinda ok, 7-10ptBB/100 depending on how many tables I play.

You beat most aces that didn't boat up, and I think thats most of his range to be honest. I'm confused by the hand though, I'm guessing the limper folded and somebody called your raise behind you?

I don't fold here, especially after playing the hand so passively, it doesn't look like you have an ace here. I would bet flop turn and river too.

after the turn CR, i think it's pretty obvious villain knows hero has a A here.

oops, I misread the action. I still think villain's most likely holding is an ace so i still call. I would probably just push river. Opponents at these stakes wont fold trips weak kicker, and it could easily be what he thinks is a value bet.

Well looking back this whole thing coulda been avoided had i just bet the flop like I normally would have. He actually had nothing but his steal attempt backed into a runner runner flush. It's just that I see fold fold fold all day, ah well.

And my c/r amount was kinda pathetic, it didn't price his draw at all. Ofcourse I put him on an A and I was kinda wondering if his kicker was better or worse than mine, and I didn't want to push out the weaker ones.

River is a fold though I think.. he isn't gonna shove anything that I beat behind me..
