Default 25NL: flopped trips with drawing possibilities

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (7 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

    UTG ($14)
    MP1 ($23.30)
    MP2 ($5.50)
    CO ($45.55)
    Hero ($23.45)
    SB ($35.75)
    BB ($19)

Preflop: Hero is Button with 8, 8.
3 folds, CO calls $0.25, Hero calls $0.25, SB completes, BB checks.

    Flop: ($1) 6, 8, T (4 players)
SB bets $1, BB raises to $2.5, CO folds, Hero ???

Both villains were very aggressive post flop, but I think I cannot given them a free card and this flop by calling their bets only. Therefore, I think a raise to about $6 is better, no?

The good thing is you have position so I think calling isn't too bad. It's gonna suck if a 7 or 9 peels off (16% chance) on the turn, but if it doesn't you can probably extract more value

That is assuming your opponents aren't too bright ofcourse. Calling there shows actually a lot of strength to thinking opponents. (cold calling when your opponents show a lot of strength, as here with pot bet + raise, typically means your hand is so strong that you want them to stick around) Raising is probably best yes. I'm not sure how much to raise to though..

Another thing to consider is raising it up preflop, although I generally do that with pocket pairs 99+, 88 is kinda a dubious one.

raising pre flop with any pair is comon practice with position in 6 max. That way they think your cbeting ak when you have a set of 3's

Not really, yesterday I was playing a 30/20 style which pretty much means raising every CO or button given the chance, and people don't give you credit for anything anymore..

    Drinking your milkshake.
Calling is going to look suspicious anyway and slowplaying sucks with loads of money behind. I make it $8.

I'd also consider raising this preflop - CO open limpers are clearly weak, we have position and stacks are fairly deep.

I think calling is nuts, build da pot bump to $6 since its limped they could have 2p trash and if they are just drawing give them bad odds.

shake, I think that strategy is better suited for 100nl, at 25nl you can limp/call and still stack overpairs and have the added benefit of trash hands hitting 2p, chasing draws etc.
