Trying to improve my bubble play

[mikeneron]

I have been using SNG Wizard the last little while to go through my bubble play, but there are a lot of hands like 93 and 83 it is saying to push with when I'm in the SB and everyone folded to me. Other times I have JT on the button and it is folded to me and SNG Wizard says that is a fold when the BB is 400 and I have 2840 left in chips. I am somewhat confused and just hope that I set the program up correctly.

Here is my most recent tourney and the bubble play. The blinds really got high at the end, don't think I have seen this many people still in it at those blind levels. Comments and criticisms welcome.

Hand 17: 33 - oh man, I don’t like this limp UTG. I think I’d fold this here, probably not worth a push UTG 5-handed.

Hand 21: He’s been completing from the SB a lot, I’d probably try raising him up here, you’ve got a fairly tight image…

Hand 23: QTs - Again, I don’t know why you’re limping at this level (unless you’re trying to get a donk with AA or KK). 4-handed I’d raise this up.

The most important thing when using SNGWIZ is setting the hand ranges for your opponents correctly. Have you been amending the hand ranges when analyzing post game with regards to how loose/tight oppos were?

Hand 7: Agree with push, but I like the fold as played.

Hand 9: Perfect.

Hand 10: Perfect.

Hand 13: Push or raise, eithers fine. You've pushed the SB a couple of times, so a std raise might have him thinking more than another push which he might call with Ax. Plus it mixes things up a bit.

Hand 17: I think you know this was bad. You pushed PPs earlier. This is raise/push/fold, flip a coin and make a decision.

Hand 21: Agreed with Rubix, I give this a 3xBB raise and see what happens.

Hand 23: Raise or fold. I dont mind folding that UTG.

Hand 25: Good.

Hand 29: Man, you know betterr than this. Dont slowplay this hand. Only good thing is you didnt go broke like most people who try to slowplay these do.

Hand 30: I love this push. You're not folding them, but its time to gambool if you want to survive much longer.



All in all it looks pretty good. Limping 33 was bad but not too costly. It was the slowplayed 2 pair that cost you your game. Unfortunately, especially on these long running bubbles, it often only takes one mistake to mess your whole game.
