Call all-in with only flush draw?

He took a while to bet so I was almost certain he didn't flop top pair. Even though I don't have odds for the flush draw, 8 or 9 might be outs over a possible low pair... Anyways, although I'm pretty sure calling here is wrong but it brings me to another question: Does anyone make calls like this when all you have is a draw if the odds are good?

Hmm, interesting question. Simple mathematics tell us this is a fold. The delay could mean a miss and he's bluffing, but it could also mean with approx 1300 pot he was wondering whether to bet small and take you along or push. He could even have a better flush draw.

I suspect the 2nd question is one answered by ICM, so someone else can do that one. For me it would be a combination of both pot odds and stack sizes whether I'd ever call an AI with a flush draw.

This is a clear fold for me. All you know is that he took some time before betting. This can mean just about anything. He could have Top pair or somthing like pocket tens and just want to chase you away. It is also possible that he has a better flush draw, which leaves you in even worse shape with 6 outs. You dont need to get involved in this kind of situation. In fact I would have folded preflop in this position.

Preflop: I think the raise is fine. With the big stack I like to put pressure on my opps, particularly when it's 5-handed.

Flop: I fold to the shove. As losttrem said, I don't think you've got enough clean outs considering the possibility of a better flush draw, and 8s and 9s are probably not clean outs either.

Unless you have reason to believe that villain pushes with crap (stack size, reads, etc) then i say this is a fold.
