    Default HU hand

Is this the time to get it in? Villian had been playing relatively tight, solid HU.

I'd lay this down straight away. Looks to me like he has just made a set of 5's or 6's with the limp in then the check raise. Or you think its a check raise bluff?

Really depends whose been in control. If you've been actively raising a lot of hands preflop and c-beting the flop, maybe he's just hit a small piece and wants you to leave him alone.

You're both safely above 20BB so if you think you have the advantage you have time to find a better spot. Most players slow play their monsters heads up though, so I'd be surprised if he flipped anything but a pair or a draw if you called.

Personally I'd call this, but I tend to get overconfident with pairs HU.

Flopping top pair with a decent kicker is almost like flopping a set on a full table. I'm all-in here. I agree with rubix, it is read dependent but most opps if they flopped 2 pair or a set would tend to slowplay HU.

This looks like a c/r bluff to me. He doesnt believe you caught a piece of that board and thinks you've done a std c-bet so he's stealing. Wouldnt surprise me if he has a middle pair or something. Gotta take a chance to win HU, and here you have reason to think you're ahead.

One thing to do is look at the action of the whole hand and compare to what you think he may have. Of course opps dont play the same, but it can be some use.

Pocket pair thats a set? I dont see opp calling your PF raise with pocket 5s, 6s or 9s. Theres no set value to that and they play badly post-flop. The right move for him is to shove over your steal PF with these. Another concern is A9 or K9. A9 again I think he'd shove over PF. K9 is a worry though. So you may be out-kicked, but fairly unlikely. The other possibility is 2-pair. You'd be unlucky, however if he likes his suited then you just may have run into this.

Probably to me the hands we're most worried about are JJ+. Its entirely possible that he smoothcalled your PF raise with these.

All in all though, I think its more likely we're ahead and he's attempting a steal.
Just dipping my toes back in.

Villain would very likely slowplay a set in this spot, depending on villain's reads on hero.

Villain most probably has a pair and/or an inside straight draw. you have to call though.

Thanks all. Neither of us had been too aggressive yet heads up. I didn't see how I could lay down top pair heads up though. I called his push and he flipped K9, but I spiked a Q on the river FTW.
